Principal Responsibilities:

•    Processing all EP validation/grant stage official notifications and updating our case management system (Inprotech)
•    Generating and providing grant and validation quotes for Fee Earners/Clients
•    Updating validation information through our bespoke online validation portal
•    Processing translation requests and validation instructions
•    Filing submissions to the EPO using EPOLine filing software
•    Processing incoming agent/client validation related correspondence and updating Inprotech
•    Entering new validation cases on Inprotech
•    Entering take-over cases (pending and granted) on Inprotech; corresponding with client and local attorneys to ensure take-over is completed as quickly and efficiently as possible
•    Processing internal emails sent to the centralised team mailbox
•    Processing daily due date report
•    Reminding Fee Earners about all due dates from the prompt list and checking that they take the appropriate action
•    Providing validation related information to Partners and Fee Earners as required
•    Ability to locate and interpret information relating to IP regulations

Person Specification:

•    Team player
•    Diligent and thorough
•    Ability to work on own initiative and with minimal supervision
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills  
•    Ability to work to deadlines
•    Good working knowledge of EP grant and validation procedure
•    Good understanding of all aspects of the EPO Line filing software
•    High level of accuracy and attention to detail, including spotting incorrect/incomplete information
•    Willingness to learn new skills
•    Pro-active: willing to suggest improvements to our processes or Inprotech

Key Skills & Qualifications:

•    CIPA Administration Certificate desirable
•    Experience working in an IP firm or department
•    Experience of Inprotech
•    GCSE or equivalent in English Language and Maths 
•    Good level of IT skills (Word, Outlook, Excel, Internet)
